Creative Commons License Terms
Bear Town and all related production materials are licensed under the terms of a Creative Commons license. Creative Commons is an alternative system for licensing content that enables copyright holders to grant some of their rights to the public while retaining others with the intention of encouraging the sharing of information and expanding the range of creative work available for individuals to legally to build upon and share.
Bear Town and the majority of its production materials will be publicly distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license. The specific terms and conditions of the license are as follows:

Attribution: Anyone may copy, distribute, display, and perform Bear Town — and derivative works based upon it — but only if they give credit to www.bear-town.com.
Example: A puppet builder wants to use Bear Town patterns to build puppets. They post pictures of the puppets on their web site, and clearly indicate where the patterns originated. |

Noncommercial: Anyone may copy, distribute, display, and perform Bear Town and it's source material — and derivative works based upon it — but for noncommercial purposes only
Example: The above-mentioned puppet builder is free to use Bear Town patterns to build puppets for personal learning purposes or for their own personal, non-commercial use, but they are not allowed to sell the puppets without permission. |

Share Alike: You can make and distribute derivative works based on Bear Town, but only under the same license and conditions that Bear Town is released under.
Example: Someone wants to incorporate footage from Bear Town in to a free video. The Share-a-like condition of Bear Town’s license allows them to use footage from the film, but only as long as they release their finished work under a Non-Commerical + Sharealike Creative Commons License. |
